QUANTUMSHIELD

Quantumshield is a state of the art, high performance, two component, aromatic polyurea-hybrid elastomeric spray on coating. It is a phenomenal polyurea coating that is great for the packaging industry by providing a barrier of protection between the product and surfaces that can damage them.

QUANTUMSHIELD™ provides a flexible, extremely tough, monolithic membrane with excellent environmental performance against (moisture, chemicals and acids). Due to its almost instantaneous gel time, QUANTUMSHIELD™ can be built up to almost any thickness in one application including vertical and overhead surfaces, thus eliminating the need for multiple applications. QUANTUMSHIELD™ has high temperature stability with a service temperature of up to 300*F. Quantumshield is also USDA approved on structural surfaces or surfaces where there is a possibility of incidental food contact.

While other processes may be similar to Quantumshield, it is a proprietary formulation that has many advantages compared to other processes such as the plastisol dipping process. Aristo-Cote’s formulation is a rapid cure system that provides consistent “sag free” coating that is a better protector for your parts, and our controlled spray process makes it easier to mask areas where you do not need or want coating. The rapid cure process allows our coating to dry in seconds speeding up the manufacturing time by avoiding the process such as baking. Unlike plastisol using Quantumshield greatly reduces drips and runs on your dunnage, which can produce various imperfections in your parts.

Quantumshield 90

Quantumshield 90 is our standard formulation and is currently specified on numerous OEM racking prints from the leaders in the industries such as: GM, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, BMW, and Toyota. With the strength and feel of urethane-molded dunnage our 90 formulation has great physical properties along with greater flexibility.

Introducing New Quantumshield 70

Quantumshield 70 is our newest formulation that is a fast setting 100% polyurea with excellent impact and tear resistance. Quantumshield 70 provides a flexible, extremely tough, monolithic membrane with excellent performance against wear, abrasion, weather, most chemicals, and moisture. It is a softer coating then our 90 and is best used for applications that need more cushion and tacky feel for non-slippage.

Colors

Aristo-Cote currently offers two standard colors of Black and Safety Orange.

Black – Slick look with UV stabilizers that will prevent color from fading in sunlight.

Safety Orange- is great to meet safety standards required in most manufacturing plants.

Aristo-Cote can get most colors if needed.
